Also seeing some pretty dreadful performance over the last few days, only with c2play.de servers.

I seem to get periods of usual network activity, followed by periods of poor performance.

As you can see from the ICMP dump from MTR, the issue appears to be on a backbone router before your Service Provider https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Fe8qxV ... share_link

Hi Clive!

Thanks a lot for this MTR, this is helpful :) What is the time of the MTR?

Thank you!

We can confirm that there are problems on our side. While we are not the target, there are heavy cyber-attacks. Unfortunately that can lead to such problems :( Thank you though for reporting!

For what it's worth, I (accidentally) left another ICMP test running overnight, and am now seeing about 4% packet loss. Still not terrific, but a damn sight better than the 30+% loss I was seeing for the last few days!

Thanks :)

I hope it will run better, it seems that we are collateral damage from another attack :gnarf:

I'm afraid it continues to be a problem. Not certain what else I can do, other than report it here. I don't have the same issues on other Source servers, just these ones.

Did you encounter any problems on the 3rd and 4th April?

Same problem for me. Only c2play servers, lag spike every 5-10 minutes, extreme rubberbanding despite ping being normal. also when it lags in-game this forum becomes inaccessible. the host of the server dataforest already made a blog post stating they are being attacked by ddos but clearly they are not able to effectively mitigate it.

Do you encounter this also right now? If yes, could you please provide us with an MTR?

I did it for 30 minutes but this isn't indicative of a whole day, the lag is sporadic so the only way to get an accurate measurement would be to run it for multiple hours, I will do that tomorrow.

During these lag spikes the website is also unreachable as evidenced below:

it's near impossible for me to play on the server due to the lag/rubberbanding.
